Improving pedestrian access and safety on the A38

What is happening
Cornwall Council has approved plans for a new signal-controlled puffin crossing on the A38 at Tideford. The crossing will improve access to the existing bus stops and make it easier and safer for pedestrians to cross the road.

When the work will take place
Cormac will deliver the works on behalf of National Highways from 2 November to 5 February 2027. To help minimise disruption on this busy route, most work will take place between 6pm and 11pm. Working hours may be extended for quieter activities.

Thank you for your patience
We understand that roadworks can be inconvenient. We thank residents, businesses and road users for their patience while these improvements are completed.
