Could you please ask the landowner who owns the field with the footpath running from Tartendown Cross up the field towards the upper lane if he could please fix the gates both top and bottom of path. The one at the bottom needs to be lifted about 3" to open it and it is so heavy, we elderly folk really struggle! The foliage also needs cutting to reveal the sign which needs to be straightened before it falls off completely. The one at the top is also very difficult to open and now is getting stuck in all the mud and again has to be lifted, making it very difficult. None of these problems would take very long but would make walking that lovely path even more of a pleasure!
